Explaining the Global Life-Expectancy Gap
Global Health Intelligence
An existing D3 atlas evolved into a reproducible Python and SQL investigation of economic resources, country-level health gaps and later-year prediction.
THE QUESTION
Why do some countries live longer than other countries with similar economic resources?
DEPTH OVER VOLUME.More work will be added as it becomes ready to share.

WORK / 01
GIS Analyst (Senior Officer) & Backend Developer
Built reliable network datasets, spatial databases and backend workflows for fibre infrastructure operations.
Designed and administered a PostgreSQL/PostGIS network inventory spanning 100+ tables and approximately 150,000 records, with GiST indexes and materialised views for analytical queries.
Built Python ETL and validation pipelines to detect topology and data-quality errors before database commit.
Developed Airflow ingestion and transformation workflows, REST APIs and AWS-scheduled data-quality pipelines for downstream analysis and applications.
Applied graph analytics and Dijkstra-based routing to automate fibre-network optimisation, design and documentation.

WORK / 02
Cadastral Officer & GIS Developer
Turned survey-plan and land-registration records into structured datasets, operational reporting and automated GIS workflows.
Managed and analysed enterprise datasets supporting more than one million digitised survey-plan records, with indexing and integrity controls for high-volume access.
Developed Power BI dashboards and Pandas reports tracking digitisation throughput, data-quality KPIs and land-registration performance for government stakeholders.
Automated validation, standardisation and batch ingestion with Python and ArcPy, supporting the conversion of survey plans and topographic maps into queryable data.

WORK / 03
Freelance Software Developer & Data Consultant
Delivered analytical applications and data services across civic, logistics and infrastructure use cases.
Built applications, dashboards and APIs with Python, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, FastAPI, Node.js, Pandas and GeoPandas.
Developed automated processing pipelines and relational data models, deploying containerised services to AWS and DigitalOcean through CI/CD workflows.
03 / THE PERSON BEHIND THE QUERIES
Data is only useful when it goes somewhere.
BASED IN THE UNITED KINGDOM
I work where data, software and real-world decisions meet.
My background began with spatial data and infrastructure systems. Today, that perspective extends across analytics, data engineering and machine learning: understanding the context, questioning the assumptions and building a reliable path from source to answer.
I enjoy taking messy datasets through ingestion and modelling into something people can actually use — an analysis, a dashboard, an API or a predictive model.
